Minimize Washing

Wash less frequently to reduce microfiber plastic shedding, which pollutes oceans. Spot-treat stains and hang-dry instead.

Hand Wash

Avoid washing machines as they can damage the seams, water-repellency, and overall longevity of the shorts. Use fresh water and gentle soap for hand washing. If machine washing is necessary, use a side-load washer without a center agitator.

Air Dry

Never use a dryer as high heat can damage the shorts. Always hang them to air dry on a line or fence. 

Always ensure Velcro sides are connected before washing and storing. This will make sure laces don't get frayed and keep your shorts looking fresh.

The above is our recommendation but if you use a washing machine and dryer make sure to wash on cold and tumble dry.
